Volos, apart from its status of a large industrial city, can boast a vast excursion program: it was erected simultaneously upon the ruins of three ancient municipalities. This is a modern city with well-developed infrastructure and interesting historical monuments. We also recommend visiting one of the flamboyant city Tsipouradika where they serve splendid Tsipouro with seafood refreshments (meze).

When you arrive in a different country without language knowledge, transportation throughout the city might become troublesome. If you order a transfer, an English-speaking driver will be waiting for you at the airport, eager to take care of your trunks and bring you to the specified address with comfort.

What other transportation can be used

Intercity buses – You need to know in advance where and at what time a suitable bus stops. Buses from Thessaloniki to Volos depart approximately every 2 hours. After getting off a bus, you will need to use additional transport to get to your destination.

Public taxis – You can order a taxi by phone in the Greek language or catch a car in the street. Taxis usually cost more than economical transfer, and level of service is quite ordinary.
