The so-called “gates” to the Peloponnese, the city of Corinth, is an important industrial and transportation hub in Greece. From here, most goods produced in the country are exported to other nations. Approximately 5 km away from the modern town one can find the ruins of Ancient Corinth with the Temple of Apollo and the vestiges of the fort walls – Acrocorinth offering an impressive cityscape.
