The Ancient Greek town of Epidaurus has long been known for its theater with unique acoustics. Even though it comprises 55 rows and can accommodate practically 14,000 spectators, whispering from the stage can be heard even in the last rows! In the 20th century, the theater was reconstructed and now, every July, it presents music shows under the Athens summer festival.

What other transportation can be used
Intercity buses – You need to know in advance where and at what time a suitable bus stops. Buses from Athens to Nafplion (about 28 km away from Epidavros) depart approximately every hour. After getting off a bus, you will need to use additional transport to get to your destination.
Public taxis – You can order a taxi by phone in the Greek language or catch a car in the street. Taxis usually cost more than economical transfer, and level of service is quite ordinary.
